I was initially allocated a single room, as requested. However upon arrival the room was not as expected. There was no storage other than a single wardrobe and coathangers. No drawer space. I also had no bedside table or access to a light when in bed. I had to have my phone in bed and hope i could find it for a light if i needed the bathroom. The room had a double bed and NO storage.I was moved to a larger room when i raised my issues living out of a suitcase for 7 days which was totally unacceptable. Lifting a case weighing around 15kg onto a bed everytime i needed access to my luggage. One receptionist didnt see what was wrong.
The room i was moved to was bigger but still there were issues. The shower (wet room) had very little incline, hence the water would lay on the bathroom floor, even after using your feet to guide it to the drain, i would have to put shoes on after a ahower to return to the bathroom.
There was a sofa outside my room which on a few occasions guests would gather and chat well past midnight causing me to lay awake.
The rooms are very dated and i had to ask for both toiletries and toilet tissue. Myroom was not cleaned a number of times, my bin not being emptied on one.
I chose to stay in the Riverside Boutique Hotel as I had family staying close by and the location was great, however i can not recommend this hotel to anyone. Thankfully I was bed and breakfast only so was selective what i ate in the morning as the cooked food was not appetising.
