Attractive property, especially the dining and lounge areas. Recently acquired and will be better as renovations take place. Wi Fi could be better although strong signal can be expected in common and dining area.

Quaint place on our stop prior to heading to Orkney by car ferry! Extra nice customer service and fantastic breakfast
Michael, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

No stars should be the rating. Terrible hygiene. Filthy brown water coming out of taps. Food was bad. Unsafe uncooked seafood. Stinking rotten fish. Electric sockets unsafe. TVs not working in most rooms. No action taken to rectify by staff.

Perfect

We were running late for check in. They were very understanding and kind to us. The room had a beautiful view and amazing bathroom. Just could have done with a blind in the bathroom window.
Miss, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

The foyer and room were unclean and we chose to stay elsewhere.
Rebecca, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

the shower in the bathroom was badly fitted and fell apart when trying to move the shower head .the room was dusty and needed a good clean.as we were only using the room for sleeping the standard was acceptable but could be improved

Steve, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Me and my friend booked this hotel for 3 nights to do exploring in the area! I booked a double economy room with no loch view at a very reasonable priec. When we arrived we were checked in by a very helpful and friendly member of staff who kimdly upgraded us at no extra cost to a loch view room with 2 double beds in it! Which was also a huge room! The room was out of this world, the views were to die for, the beds were so comfortable and we had a large tv. The room was clean with tea and coffee facilities. All of the staff at the hotel are super friendly and cannot do enough to help you. There are picnic benches outside the hotel to sit and enjoy the view. The only thing we felt was lacking was a bar area to sit at. We would definitely stay here again
Louise, 3-night trip

Susan, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Friendly staff, good food, very nice stay.
Michael, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Upon arrival, several issues were immediately apparent: • The room and common areas were unclean, poorly maintained, and had a strong unpleasant smell. • Furniture and carpets were badly stained, and overall hygiene appeared neglected. • Electrical appliances in the room appeared either unchecked or last tested over five years ago, according to the tags. • The water from the taps was brown and discoloured, which raised serious hygiene concerns. The manager said it was because the water came from the mountains! • The taps were poorly fitted, causing leaks and poor water pressure. • The shower was nearly unusable, with extreme temperature swings between freezing cold and dangerously hot. • Additionally, the manager was rarely present at reception, and when available, was unable to provide any useful information about the local area, which made our stay more difficult. These conditions made for a very poor and unsafe experience — certainly not in line with the price paid or the hotel’s advertised standards. Had these issues been disclosed in advance, I would not have booked this property.
Maureen, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Bathroom taps were very worn and unable to use. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, could feel the springs. Bed frame headboard was broken and hit the wall every time we moved.
1-night trip

A bit shabby but the friendly, helpful staff more than made up for this.
