Loved this historic hotel in a sweet town, which was all decorated for Christmas. Our host, Rafa, was very helpful and just a very nice man. His English was very good.

Todo ha sido estupendo, pero Rafa es punto y aparte. La atención y la implicacion en que no te falte de nada, no se ve en otros sitios. El desayuno tan estupendo que te ofrece. Una maravilla.

The hotel is beautiful and so well preserved. It is a great example of 1700’s architecture of the area. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. It included some of the region’s typical foods, which were very nice to have. Our host Rafa was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. Provided very useful directions and information on things to do in the area.

De ensueño

La estancia perfecta, el hotel está en un entorno incomparable, cerca de todo y con campo y caballos al lado. Llegamos por la tarde y nos subieron el equipaje, todos muy amables. Está todo reformado, las habitaciones nuevas y cómodas, el baño moderno. La única pega es que cuando fui había ola de calor y sí que faltaba un aire o ventilador

Old World Charm! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Posada La Casa del Organista. This stately and historic building was originally built to house the monks of the church, and was later purchased by the church's organist; hence the name. We stayed in Room 6 on the 1st floor and it's the one prominently featured in photos as it has a cozy glassed in balcony with great views. The location is perfect right in the heart of beautiful Santillana del Mar and is located right on the Camino de Santiago route where we would see dozens of pilgrims walk past us each day. We enjoyed talking with the on-site owner. The posada has a car park located behind the property. If I'm fortunate to make it back to Santillana del Mar I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich, spricht Englisch und Deutsch. Das ist in Nord-Spanien nicht selbstverständlich.Wir konnten uns das Zimmer aussuchen. Mit Badewanne oder Dusche, mit Balkon usw. Es gibt optional ein tolles Frühstück mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft, regionaler Wurst und Käse, Müsli, regionaler Kuchen und vieles mehr. Ein wunderschönes und liebevoll restauriertes Haus. Mit modernem Bad. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das mittelalterliche Flair vom Haus als auch von ganz Santillana de Mar sehr genossen.

The hosts and the breakfast were good . It isn't easy to find or the parking unless the host is guiding you but I would be happy to stop there again. There are lots of restaurants in the village, we had an excellent dinner at Gran Duque reserved via WhatsApp

Wundervoller Aufenthalt in dieser schönen Posada

Die Posada ist ein wundervolles Haus und wird privat und sehr herzlich geführt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und persönlich auf das Zimmer gebracht. Die Zimmer sind modern und fantastisch ausgestattet in diesem historischen Gebäude und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Es gab auch ein ganz hervorragendes Frühstück mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft und sehr gutem Kaffee. Dies alles für einen günstigen Preis. Wir können einen Aufenthalt in der Posada La Casa del Organista nur wärmstens empfehlen und wir würden jederzeit dort wieder buchen. Vielen Dank für den herzlichen Service.

Spotless, honest and friendly

Wonderfully family run business! The attention to detail for all of the services was noteworthy and the friendly and thoughtful help from the owners/manager made me feel safe and welcome. Posada La Casa del Organista is a gem within a beautiful town. I would like to add that it was simply spotless -by far the cleanest place I have stayed.
