Charming and modern in a good location

Looks just like the photos - charming and good location. The only issue is it can be difficult to navigate if you have lots of luggage to get up a few steps and in the small elevator, but we would definitely stay here again.

A little gem of property, ideal for a weekend stay. Staff were brilliant and sent us a check in link prior to our arrival which sped up the process. They were super friendly and explained that there was free juice, water, beer or coffee available and even croissants in the morning which we weren’t expecting. The rooms were clean with a comfy bed, especially liked the modern bathroom with waterfall shower. All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend. In future I would recommend some signage at the front door as we initially found the entrance difficult to find.

Very nice hotel on a good location, we have been in Barcelona before, but never been in Poble Sec, we loved eating pinchos in carrer de Blai which is around the corner. It is advertised without breakfast, but there were some croissants, coffee, muffins in the morning, which was nice.

Perfect hotel!

The perfect hotel. We were staying for 12 days. Often we found ourselves going back to the hotel, having a drink in the beautiful lounge, reading a book or talking to the staff of Casa Vagante. Excellent location right next to the Paral-lel metro station. The check-in was fast and so much nicer than the usual hotel check-in as it felt very personal (the check-in desk is actually on an upper floor, so you use the intercom to get into the building and take the elevator up to a small reception area). Our room was cosy and modern - again a big improvement over typical hotel rooms. The room was soundproofed but it doesn't stop all sound, but overall, nothing kept us awake or woke us up. Really happy with this stay in Barcelona. Great location with lots of local restaurants.

Casa Vaganto has a unique boutique B&B feel. The rooms are lovingly decorated with a contemporary Spanish feel, and the community breakfast /coffee area was stylish and very comfortable. The "light continental breakfast" was more than that with warm fresh baked croissants, veggie & fruit options, a fritatta or other warm dish, and yogurt, and there's an espresso machine for diy cappuccinos, lattes or espresso. Tea and orange juice were also available. We were greeted by Cecille, and she was great-- super friendly, and knowledgeable. We took advantage of leaving our luggage for the day after checking out and when we returned Cecille offered to have us sit down and have a coffee and rest before leaving for our flight. The hotel is located very close to the Metro, and this made getting to Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, and many other locations -- including the airport-- very easy. I highly recommend this place! We would return in a heartbeat.

The hotel itself is nice, although be advised that it doesn’t have much in the way of signage inside or outside. To enter you go through a door that looks like an apartment building next to a Turkish restaurant. There are stairs up to the elevator and interestingly there are 3 flights up to the first floor where reception is located. Our room was on the floor labeled 2, which was a flight above reception (four flights up from the ground floor). Our room was marked 2-10 and to get to it you had to go through a main door with your key card (this door was labeled ‘3’) and then into room number 10. Our key card randomly stopped working one morning so we couldn’t get back into our room after we had left (reception is not open all the time), but it was working later that day. Despite these oddities, the location is convenient, the place is clean and the staff are all very kind and helpful.
