This rating is based solely on 250 per night cost. If I were to rate it against a more expensive luxurious hotel it would probably be a 1-2. Good: staff very friendly, nice location mix neighborhood and big town appeal, room was very clean, hotel was clean, refrigerator and microwave in the room, and you control your own AC. There WAS hot water for showers. Areas of improvement: too much furniture in the room! It had a full size bed and bunk beds for just a one person check in. Windows are covered with white film so you can’t see outside or open them not sure if this is to keep light out at night. Hotel very loud at night! People talking cars passing by you can hear everything very clearly. If I wasn’t so tired from my travel this would’ve been a greater inconvenience however my sleep was still rashly interrupted at least 3 times! No face towels might be a problem for some but I always use baby wipes so no big deal for me. Would I stay here again? Yes and no, yes if staying just overnight got on a cruise ship the next day. No, if I was staying there extended time more than 1-2 days for vacation due to condition mentioned especially location and noise.

No trouble getting from the airport to the hotel using a shuttle or Uber. Would not recommend renting a car and driving around San Juan. They have some very narrow streets. Lots of congestion around tourist and cruise ship areas.

The room was clean and the staff were super nice and very helpful. There were a couple of problems though. The bed was very hard and the pillows very fat, so it was very hard to get comfortable. The air conditioning is either on or off, no adjusting the temperature. The covers on the bed did not give adequate warmth the the temps in the room. The hotel itself is in need of a facelift. The decor and furniture are sadly outdated. They do have free shuttle service to the port which is very close, so it will save a few bucks. There were many restaurants, gift shops, and a supermarket all within walking distance, which is a big plus. The front office clerks were very nice. One suggested a yummy place to eat and another helped us order pizza. This was very helpful.

No controls on air conditioner. It’s either freezing cold or off. There weren’t any wash rags in room for 6 people. But the room was clean and they transferred us to ship for free. So if you’re basically looking for a place to sleep one night it’s ok.
