Wonderful stay for couple with dog

Great place to stay with good food options. Most of all plenty of walks on the local green spaces especially for dogs. Really enjoyed it and so easily accessible from the M3 and easy reach to London the following morning.

Barton’s Mill was a fantastic find. Very friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. We liked the fact the rooms were separate from the pub and easily accessible. Situated in a beautiful area. Easy access to M3. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms were really lovely and spacious. Very comfy big bed, sofa, desk, everything you need. Busy pub and nice walk along river to the Basing barn and house. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot to stop off on our drive to Cornwall. We’ll be back.

8/10 Very good

Very clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Didn’t have dinner but the restaurant looked inviting and the old mill mechanism was very interesting. The pebbles on the pathway leading to the bedrooms made wheeling suitcases difficult but we got help from a staff member who carried them to our car.

Loved the peace and tranquillity of this old pub. It’s gardens are fantastic with lots of space and ample tables and chairs. Beautiful crystal clear stream running along side the property. The staff were great and the food is far better than your average pub. The rooms are excellent and spacious for a very comfortable stay. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Beautiful place, however, you have to wheel your suitcase into a pub to book in and n my first night, arriving late, hungry and tired, they were fully booked inside, so I had to eat outside in the cold Otherwise, great place

Beautiful Barton's Mill

We stayed at Barton's Mill for two nights. Plentiful parking, room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfy too. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, shampoo, conditioner etc. We had a couple of lovely meals in the pub and the breakfast was fab too. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We liked the check out at 11 so we didn't feel the need to rush. We would definitely recommend staying here. A beautiful spot next to the river with lovely walks.

An all round pleasant stay :-). Well done!

Very pleasantly located near rural walks along the river and duck ponds. The quality of the food was very good with a good few choices from the standard and gluten free menus. Helpful staff and nice atmosphere whether you are inside and outside dinning. Rooms are very clean and modern with a few nice touches.

Enjoyable food and ambiance. Pleasant location by river and interesting artifacts connected to the old mill. Quiet location for overnight accommodation away from the main building. Only slight problem was the pebbled area which made wheeling luggage a bit difficult.

Loverly location a bit dissappointed with our evening meal

We had one night here after attending the iFly experience nearby. The rooms were clean, well equipped and good comfy bed. There was plenty of storage and hooks by the door (never understand why some hotels don’t put hooks for coats etc) so this was a huge bonus. We ate in the pub, which we enjoyed. Was lovely to sit in the sunshine enjoying a drink and but needing to go to far. We did have a walk around the area, would highly recommend doing this if you get chance. Would definitely return.
