I booked this hotel because it had a pool and a room with a balcony. However, as there was no leisure area next to the pool, but only a narrow "patio" with café style tables and chairs next to a highway with very heavy traffic, the pool was useless. Furthermore, as the rooms all faced a covered courtyard, where the restaurant was, the balconies were in an enclosed space 3 meters above the guests in the restaurant, so also useless.
The enclosed courtyard faced the highway, and the roof enhanced the sound, so it was the most noisy room I have ever stayed in. In addition, Guyanans apparently like to load their cars with the largest stereos in existence and drive around with music blaring out the windows.
To top of the noisy experience, the breakfast crew chose to turn on loud music in the kitchen at 6:57 on Sunday morning.
