"The Pelican Hotel, Ghana The Pelican Hotel is easily the best hotel we have stayed at in Ghana over the years. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were always very accommodating. The rooms are extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and truly deserve a five-star-plus rating. The hotel’s food is excellent, with a wonderful variety of options to choose from. On this trip, we first stayed at another hotel in Ghana, but The Pelican is far superior in every way. We will be travelling frequently to Ghana from the UK in the future, and The Pelican will definitely be our base. Stepping into the foyer immediately feels calm and welcoming — we were even offered complimentary drinks as soon as we arrived to check in. I truly hope these high standards never slip, as this hotel made our time in Ghana absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend The Pelican Hotel to anyone planning a stay in Ghana. "

"The air conditioner was not cooling as expected"

"I didn't have an issue with this property per say, I had an issue with the room we received. So the units are individually managed by different vendors or agents. Our room was clean but the shower was broken, there was mold on the wall, the AC worked. The wifi did not work. The room was also very small. I would say this room is for solo travelers versus a couple. It was just challenging it get in touch with the host. The wifi not working made even communication exhausting. Thankful for the international plan I had on my cell, that was our saving grace. The agent was nice but she was attending to other guests who had reservations. Thankfully when we reached out to Expedia they worked things out for us to check into a new hotel. "

"I was a solo traveler but here for a group event, Labadi was an amazing hotel! The staff was very attentive and friendly from the moment I arrived. I had a lovely suite which was very clean and well appointed and had a ton of room! Even those in my group with standard rooms said they were very spacious as well. I particularly liked the large bathroom and having plenty closet space. The bed was also very comfortable, I was always sad to have to leave it in the morning! I used the fitness center a few times which has a nice selection of equipment and was clean. The pool area did run short on towels on the weekend but was overall lovely! All the meals I had were delicious and reasonably priced. The included breakfast was also great, plenty of options both self serve buffet and made to order. When I return to Accra I will definitely stay at Labadi again!"

"We couldn't stay, despite the non-refundable booking. The central AC vents (as opposed to split units) were very dirty with accumulated dust visible. We had images of that AC spreading particles of dust and maybe mould throughout the room. Added to that, the room was very stuffy and had a strong and peculiar scent. We had images of getting ill after staying at that place. The smoke exhaust fan in the kitchen was practically falling off and had slanted to one side and seemed to be propped-up by the kitchen cupboard next to it. It was awful and reeked of poor maintenance. An old and tired place!"

"After several disappointments, some of which we just couldn't stay at, Luxury Apartments at the Gardens proved to be a very welcome breath of fresh air! The room was exactly as in the photo (even better) clean, freshened, and the AC was functioning perfectly amid the Accra heat! We loved this place instantly, from the very clean reception to the security to the easy access to the airport and malls! I don't want to sound like they paid me, but this place is d*mn good!"

"I booked this nice place for my husband and a few of his protocol for business in Accra. They absolutely loved it. The place was nice and clean, everything was working nicely. The check-in process was smooth. 5 stars!"
