"Every room has at least a partial ocean view depending on which floor you’re located. Food was plenty to choose from but seemed to circle around the same theme. The specialty restaurants were rather disappointing. They run short on the pool towels and at times have none to give out. The property is clean and very new with staff across all departments going above and beyond. The beach is unfortunately covered with seaweed and to enter the water you have get through a thick barrier of seaweed as well and watch for scattered, sharp rocks hiding just under the sand. The beach has a nice soft sand with plenty of seating, beach volleyball and soccer. It definitely is a party place with music and entertainment that can be heard throughout the rooms until at least 11pm. Overall, everyone can find something to enjoy at this location. "

"It was amazing, Marlon, Tywone, Donavan, the bartenders, The spa personnel, the kitchen staff, the cleaning crew, the front desk, overall were very kind, very helpful, patient. I felt like I was at home, a part of a family, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Just keep in mind that many people don't eat spicy food, and almost all the food was spicy."

"Took off one star because I had to ask a couple of times to refill the body wash and shampoo and to clean my room and there was a female employee that was not welcoming so I avoided her when I needed anything and food could have been better. Besides that I loved my stay and alot of the employees that went out of their way to accommodate me in every way. Already planning on going back 😁"

"We managed to secure a good deal through a third‑party vendor; otherwise, the stay would have felt quite expensive for what was offered. The restaurant and reception areas were well maintained and clean, but the rooms and corridors could definitely use some TLC. Attention to detail seemed to be lacking — the lifts were dirty, and the walls along the corridors were marked and worn, giving more of a back‑of‑house feel rather than a guest‑facing environment. The room had an unpleasant sewage smell and didn’t appear to be well cared for. I’m not sure if this is a result of the recent hurricane, but the property would really benefit from the level of upkeep and guest experience delivered by the teams in Cape Verde, who clearly know how to maintain their hotel to a high standard. The food was okay, but I feel that RIU focuses too much on quantity and ends up sacrificing quality. At times, it felt more like they were serving in bulk rather than catering to guests. That said, the selection available was quite good. The entertainers were great and constantly interacting with guests, keeping everyone engaged both day and night. The catering and bar staff were also very friendly and always attentive. "

"Overall, the resort was great. They have done great at rebuilding from the hurricane. Most staff were friendly. The restaurant service was a little frustrating as we had to get our own coffee and water at times in the restaurant. Major kudos to Kevon and Mario! Extremely friendly and on top of it at all times! "

"Property looked beautiful the only down fall was the bathroom flooring very dirty as needs redoing the staff especially witter was always helpful and made our stay nice... didn't use the pool breakfast was nice but 2 occasions was cold really good location near to everything eoul stay again "
