Hotels in Grand View Park

"Room was large, but the space was not used adequately- there was a kitchenette, but no table with a couple chairs to sit at to eat your food ( there was a desk and desk chair though). The kitchenette sink and the bathtub didn’t drain well. The supposedly harbor view was actually the view of the cars parked right in front of your room door. There was a view of the restaurant entrance where it gets pretty busy on the weekends. So we needed to keep the room blinds closed at all time for privacy ( as there was non for the room we were given). Second floor rooms have a better views. When I requested my harbor view room, I was told that the parking lot view assigned room for me was what I paid for and if I want a second floor room, I need to pay extra ( the amount quoted by the receptionist was the same amount as I have already paid - so I said “thank you, but no - that makes Best Western a luxury hotel, and I could have stayed for less in a beautiful inn). Breakfast had very limited choices. Not even bananas on Saturday. "

"Parking was good. Outside of building looks good, however inside is dirty. Cockroach in bathtub! Eating area for continental breakfast was dirty and counters undusted and extremely limited on available food except cereal or make your own waffle. Boo on them and I will never return. "The hotel is quaint, in a perfect location overlooking the park and walking distance to all the stores and restaurants downtown. It has been beautifully renovated. Their restaurant, Sasha’s, is also excellent for elegant food and drinks. "

"The place put us at ease the moment we walked in the door. It was modern,clean and the staff was helpfand friendly. Our room was the same as the rest of the hotel. We never heard our neighbors, the breakfast had so many choices and the staff asked if we needed anything and were again, very friendly."

"The place is just way over priced, no breakfast , the bathroom is bad condition and the beds are terrible. "

"The toilet paper and tissues were of very poor quality. The headboard of the bed in my room was all torn up. The bed was not made properly (top sheet on top of blanket instead of visa-versa) no coffee available until 7:00 am. I will NOT book a room in this motel for next year's Highland Games."
