"The property was in a very busy and convenient location. But, the elevator wait to go up and down was more like a Vegas resort. Long lines and multiple stops could hold a traveler up and cause stress. "

"small pool. asked for a blanket and got a thin fabric that looked more like a curtain panel - denied access to another comforter. After walking around the area, definitely better hotels to stay at. Extra fees were ridiculous!"

"The hotel itself is nice. Please be aware of parking fees are $70 a night. Also be aware of the Fiji water that they put in your room is $10. Also, the resort fees are $49 a night. For those who might not be aware of those fees, I just wanna be straight up about them so you are not blindsided like I was. The hotel and the staff were amazing and they are very accommodating. Our stay was nice. The hotel was very busy due to a conference so it was hard to get hot water for showers. There were days where we had to do cold showers."

"The hotel was in a fantastic area. The Gaslamp District was great for walking around and dining options. The pool is nice, but no wait staff to take orders, they did deliver our food and beverages that we ordered at the bar. We reserved an upgraded Bay View room, which was very nice but the view was mostly of a train station and small bay view! The trains run day and night and our room was very noisy. We went to a baseball game and the access to the stadium (which is amazing) was very convenient. It took us three trips to the concierge desk to finally speak to the concierge (who was very helpful) because no one could find him! The front desk staff at check-in had to be reminded of both our Expedia status and status with Omni in order to receive our perks. It is a lovely hotel and we would stay there again, just request a room away from the train system!"

"This historic landmark hotel is charming and impeccably clean, but it is not suitable for most business travelers—especially if you’re carrying more than a small overnight bag or need efficient mobility. The staff is consistently responsive, polite, and hospitable, which made the stay pleasant on a service level. The building itself is a quaint, old-world ambiance that feels unique and memorable. However, the two original 1913 elevators present significant challenges. One has been out of service for over two months, leaving only a single vintage “birdcage” elevator in operation. There are no bells or alerts when it arrives, so you must watch closely or risk missing it. The heavy outer door (easily 50+ lbs) must be manually pulled open and held—often with a foot or help from another person—while sliding the inner gate. The handle is awkward and difficult to grip, and the process is cumbersome both entering and exiting. Watch your fingers and the slamming door on the way out. With more than 2-3 people or any luggage, it becomes a tight, contortionist-like experience (think Tetris). Waiting times can be long. The guest rooms are very small but spotlessly clean. Storage is extremely limited: only space to hang 4-5 clothing items, with nowhere dedicated for a suitcase or larger bag. As a solo business traveler, I ended up living out of my suitcase, which took up half the bed. There are no hooks for additional items. Overall, this property shines for leisure visitors"
