"Our experience was consistent with previous reviews. Location is ideal. Easy entrance into main attraction area and with rooms off an interior courtyard property is super quiet at night. Rooftop terrace is ideal. Relaxing, great cocktails and a perfect way to end a day sightseeing in the crowds of Florence. We didn't realize the restaurant is not open for dinner. Breakfast was crowded, food ok. Overall a nice property."

"We were welcomed with a warm greeting and friendly smile. The person who checked us in provided us with a map and several suggestions. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was small, but it was fine for us. The best part was that we were only a few minutes from the wine window! All of the attractions were walkable too."

"I cannot say enough about this hotel...it is one of my best memories of Florence. From the beautiful garden/terrace to the wonderful staff it was amazing. Location is a bit out of the busy touristy area but close enough to walk to see many things. We loved to join fellow guests in the garden for wine in the evening or good coffee in the morning ( self serve coffee 24 hours which I loved as we are early risers). Snacks, wine or drinks for purchase were also welcome conveniences. No request for information went unanswered which helped us immensely. Bus stop just outside the property that we used very frequently to make our way around the city economically. The building is older, but well cared for, very clean and has so much Italian charm. You can enjoy breakfast inside or outside in the lovely breakfast area. The breakfast itself is perfect and has something for everyone. 5 stars all the way Hotel David!"

"Staff were very welcoming and accommodated an early check in after our arrival from Rome. Hotel was centrally located, room was nice enough and exactly what we needed. Bed was comfortable, and had a few good nights sleep. Power sockets were a slight issue, having to charge my phone in the bathroom was less than ideal! Would recommend!"

"If you are happy with basic accommodation with a good size room, with lots of cupboards and drawers, in a great location, this may be for you. The free coffee and juice machines in the foyer mean you will never be without something to drink.Things to watch out for... staff who promise to always be there and are never spotted again, brick flooring leading to a slightly damp feel to anything left out of cupboards, mosquitos, a very tight fit to sit straight on the loo and wifi but no Internet. This meant we couldn't plan, or use the TV. And we couldn't speak with the staff!"

"Fabulous! If I could give them ten stars I would. Our room was beautiful and immaculate; so comfortable I wanted to move in and live there. Breakfast was amazing; a feast for the eyes as well as the palatte. What really stood out was the staff. Every person from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly, kind, and helpful in every way. I want to say we were treated like royalty, but it's more accurate to say we were treated like family. If I ever make it to Florence again I will definitely stay at this lovely hotel. Oh, I forgot to mention the hotel is just a few steps from the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi, as well as numerous other attractions."
