"Great location, adjacent central shopping area and short walk to Rue Mercière with lots of dining options. Rooms were clean & a good size. Hotel was just lovely with a lively bar. The standout feature was the magnificent old world elevator with glass sides. Overall, the Carlton Hotel Lyon was the perfect package!"

"This hotel is a great boutique hotel.. Perfect location for walking or taking the metro.. Our room was amazing with a view of the Abbey…. The staff were kind and helpful. We ate dinner at their restaurant which had wonderful food. If you like smaller hotels with charm.. would highly recommend."

"Very good hotel. The blue paint in the corridor wouldn't be my first choice but it doesn't really matter. It is perfectly located if you go to a rugby game, a bit far from the center of the city (but with easy access) otherwise. Lovely personel, and awesome breakfast. Overall a good choice"

"We were welcomed by the friendly staff and they were super helpful! They gave us a map with ideas of where to go and what to do. They offered us a drink as we waited in the lobby for the key and seemed genuinely happy to have us staying with them. The room was super clean and had a lovely balcony that we could sit out on and watch the activity down on the street. In the morning, they happily stored our luggage so we could explore ahead of our car rental being ready. We would be glad to stay...

"Our first time visiting Lyon this was an excellent choice for lodging. Extremely friendly and professional service right from the check in, nice, spacious room with a view of the Rhône river, , separate toilet, shower and double sink, clean, eco-friendly toiletries, chic room decor. Breakfast was excellent, a large variety of dishes, fresh and delicious, good coffee and tea. A very good location, walking distance to a lot of places Lyon has to offer. "We were on a three week honeymoon and booked two nights here. I honestly can’t encourage people enough to stay here. Everything about our stay here was complete bliss and one of our favorite stays. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive. The breakfast was amazing! The room smelled wonderful and so clean. The bed and linens very comfortable, we slept like a dream. As for the location, lots of places to grab a bite or drink nearby. The train station was a 10 to 12 min walk but very doable....

"The hotel is exceptionally well located. It is literally just steps from Gare Part-Deux, and the Rhône Express which goes directly to the airport is also at the hotel’s front door. The food market Les Halles is a 10 minute walk away. Despite this great location, the hotel is very quiet. They also gave out a sample of some excellent-high end chocolate one day. It was so good that I went to the shop to get more. They provided a baby bed, which was clean and in very good condition. "

"This hotel was in such a great location! Right by the train station and the Rhône Express. There are lots of buses and access to public transportation nearby. The staff was so welcoming and the hotel was clean and stylish! The room was small but extremely comfortable and clean. We stayed for 2 nights and I would have been happy to stay longer. I would recommend it!"

"The Villa was elegant, comfortable, and clean. Felt taken care of from the moment we arrived until departure. The views from the Villa were breathtaking and overlooked the city and river. A short walk to Old Lyon and the Roman ruins. The staff was excellent - Nicoli (concierge) was amazing and made great meal recommendations in Old Lyon. Would absolutely stay here again."
