"When we arrived just after 5pm our room already had the heater (air conditioner) on so the room was lovely and warm and the radio was on quietly which was a nice touch and made us feel welcome. Our room was decorated beautifully and looked very opulent. There was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. The bathroom was modern and included a separate bath and rain shower. The towels were lovely and fluffy and toiletries were beautiful. We loved breakfast, it was advertised as continental but far exceeded our expectations. It included quiche, cold meats, fruits, cereals and yoghurt. Cathy was very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. After a day out in the winter weather, it was great to come in to a glass of complimentary port and chocolates. We loved our stay at The Rivulet and would totally recommend this charming old house with its beautiful decor and plush furnishings. The oriental lillies smelt gorgeous as you walked in the entrance. It's the little touches that make this hotel 2nd to none. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
