"I don’t understand the 8.8 “excellent” rating on Hotels.com — it doesn’t reflect the actual experience. The property was clean, but overall quite rundown and clearly in need of maintenance. The fridge froze food, while the cooker burned it even on the lowest setting. Sleep was also disrupted by very bright exterior lighting, and curtains that didn’t properly block it out. I travel frequently for business, and properties with an “excellent” rating are usually of a much higher standard than this. It wasn’t a terrible stay and the price was fair — but it did not meet expectations based on the rating."

"The room was very spacious it had a small balcony, a kitchenette which was a bit small but manageable and a hot tub which was round and accommodated more than 1 person, it was luxurious to use. Walkable to town, a bit noisy on the main road and we only saw 1 staff member who was pleasant but we did have to go away for an hour till the room was ready, which was already past the 2pm arrival time, but it was worth the wait."
