Puro Dao is one of my best hotel and spa experiences. To start with the location; It is located in the outskirts of a charming village in the countryside. There is a station 2 minutes away so you don’t need a car to get there. Once you inside you fell relaxed and very welcome by the lovely staff. Room was nice but very small for 3 people. The family apartment we booked had a broken air conditioner and it was very hot so we were moved to a one room apartment with bed moved in.

Beautiful hotel in amazing surroundings. Serra de Estrela is absolutely gorgeous! Would love to go back. Their jacuzzi was out of order and their spa pool has only one waterfall working, hence the 4 stars on the condition.
Breakfast is quite good. One of our dinners was superb, the second dinner was so so. Service was nice. All in all I would consider staying there again. You can’t beat the location.
Everything about this hotel is top-notch. The room was spacious and comfortable. It's in a lovely rural setting that immediately makes you sigh a huge, "Ahhhhhhh". The bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable. The staff was friendly, gracious and professional. All the food was delicious, we were blown away by their homemade cheeses!

One of my favorite places in the world. A beautiful property above the clouds with untouchable views. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is top notch, and the rooms are all uniquely beautiful and well appointed. Can't wait to return for a third time!
We absolutely loved our stay at Alva Valley. Great atmosphere, breakfast & amazing customer service with very nice rooms. So nice to escape from the crowds in Porto. We stayed here after our drive through Douro Valley. Highly recommend coming here to unwind.
