"Thankfully this was a one night stay. I needed to book a room near a facility I had to get to early in the AM dur8ng peak traffic. The motel was absolutely nothing like the photos I saw. It’s OLD. The rooms were clean. But by no means luxurious. The beds had one thin blanket reminiscent of the kind you find in disasters. There was one chair for the table/desk despite this being a two queen room. There was NO coffee maker! Did have microwave and small fridge. The bathroom really needed work, especially the grab bars for those with disabilities! One was so loose you were afraid it would pull off the wall! The floor might have been mopped, but it wasn’t done well. We immediately threw towels on the floor before showering. And shower was about all you could do because the tub was the smallest, narrowest we had ever encountered. The WIFi/internet didn’t work even after multiple attempts and calls to the front office. And no disrespect intended to the staff, it would be a good idea to have, people who speak fluent English answering calls for help. I stay in hotels/motels several times a week es a year. (average 3 days/bimonthly). I can assure Wyndham this will NOT be one I repeat. Sure the rate was below $100/night. The noise was minimal. But there were people sleeping in the wooded area behind the motel and restaurant next door which was concerning.
For this to be a Wyndham….I expected better."
"I recently stayed at the Hilton in Dothan, Alabama, and my experience was far from satisfactory. After paying for a specific room, I was given a completely different one that lacked basic amenities. To my dismay, the bathroom didn’t even have a shower, and it seemed they assigned me a handicap room instead.
I had spoken with Kara earlier in the morning, and she confirmed that my room would be ready upon my arrival. However, when I got there, it had been given to someone else. To make matters worse, the ice machine was empty and there was no creamer available for the coffee, which made the stay even less enjoyable.
While Amy tried her best to assist me by providing extra bed sheets to make a makeshift bed on the floor for my family, this shouldn't have been necessary. I paid for a room that was supposed to accommodate us comfortably, yet we had to resort to such measures. Additionally, my room didn’t even come with towels, which is unacceptable.
To add insult to injury, I was informed that I could have a late checkout at 1 PM since the usual time is 12. However, at 11 AM, my room card stopped working! This was just the cherry on top of an already frustrating stay.
I would not recommend staying at the Hilton in Dothan, Alabama. Unfortunately, my experience was a series of disappointments, and I expect much better from a hotel that carries the Hilton name."
"The floor in my room was nasty. It turned the bottom of my feet black by the time I got done in the shower and walked to the bed. It also had a funky smell in the room along with I had reserved room for three nights, but after the first night, I had to go get my key card re-reactivated because they only set it up for one night and also I had to request for fresh towels"
