"Breakfast was very good — you order from the menu, choosing from a selection of Filipino rice‑based dishes or English options such as eggs or omelettes. You can then additionally take items from the continental buffet. Fruit was served on a plate, but it was only four small pieces rather than unlimited.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The only downside for us was the beach. We chose this hotel because it advertised “direct access to the beach”, but in reality it was a rocky shoreline with very shallow water — only about 70 cm deep — where you could immerse yourself but not actually swim."
"Beautiful resort! The views from the island tip bungalow we stayed in were stunning! The bars and food were all great! Christian at the pool was exceptional. The massage was great as well. Our tour guide both days, JR, on Triple 9's did a great job showing us all the sites and telling us about everything."
"Not sure about the other reviews. Our stay was excellent. Room was clean, breakfast was good (though don't sit at the back, it gets hot!), and their laundry service was fast.
It's right on the backpacker part of El Nido. Tons of beachfront bars and restaurants, right near the night market. There will be some noise, even on the beach side. And I'd temper your expectations to a nicer hotel on a hosteling street. But, price to value is right on the mark, and definitely a destination I'd visit again if we're staying in that part of the world."
"This Hotel was very nice .I highly recommend .Very clean staff was so great ,very helpful ,courteous, took care of excursions, renting motor bike. The facilities are beautiful. There was nothing I did not like .It is a little ways from main city .There are tricycles, van transportation, and if your adventurous rent a motorcycle for easy travel on your own .Fantastic time ,wonderful stay ."
"Charlie’s El Nido was an absolute gem. It’s not on the water but it is only a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach and very close to the airport. The pool was crisp, the facility was well maintained and the rooms were great. We did have a suite but still, what we had was quite nice. Especially compared to some other properties around the area. My extended Filipino family also loved their breakfast stating it was very good. They offered a variety of Filipino classics along with pancakes and eggs for a more westernized (American) breakfast. We will definitely consider Charlie’s again for a return visit."
