Hôtel Rohan Strasbourg
10/10 Excellent
"I picked the hotel due to the name (LOTR triggered!) then saw how reasonable the price was and booked. Did a little research and wow! what a location! I arrived quite late due to the flight times and the staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. Several times they courteously and patiently assisted me during my stay with directions for trams and recommendations. The housekeeping crew were excellent and unobtrusive, and the reception were absolutely delightful, nothing too much trouble for the flustered and obviously English tourist. I am hoping to come again next year - cant wait!"
"Such a cute different hotel 5 min walk across train station plaza. Trams and buses right there! Well designed very clean, cheerful room, with good bed and bath. We had a medium sized room which was comfortable for 2.
We appreciated the self serve coffee bar on the main floor, open all the time. Breakfast was excellent in terms of selection offered. It was a bit chaotic though. It felt like breakfast ladies simply could not keep up - maybe more help is needed?"
"I'm not sure how this is a 4 star hotel with such a poverty of amenities. There is effectively no fitness center (just a couple of treadmills), and the TV in each room is basically inoperable (staff could not figure it out). "
"Fabulous boutique hotel great location across the street from the train station.Easy walk to the town center ..One the best breakfast buffets anywhere"
"The space/amenities in the room were great but not the cleanest. There was also no air conditioning or even a fan and no screens on the windows so having them open left the room covered in bugs. The location was central but did not appear the safest. Also, it stated there was a car park but staff said only on street parking."
Hôtel & Spa RÉGENT PETITE FRANCE By Stay Collection
2/10 Terrible
"This is absolutely not a 5 star hotel. I have no idea who gives ratings for this hotel, but i was disgusted by the awful sewage smell in the hallways and the rooms are dated, with terrible furniture and configuration.
Breakfast for €35 euro was nothing short of ripoff and had the worst food selection i have seen in French hotels including terrible, tasteless pastries which France is famous for.
I dinned at their fancy restaurant which is looking to get their 1st Michelin. I must see the chef needs to learn a few things about cooking… food was horrible. The only thing i enjoyed was the service of the professional gentleman waiting on me and the amuse bouche they served. That is it. The main courses were terrible and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. €180 wasted.
