The scenic city of Arrochar is full of attractions, such as Loch Lomond and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and is loved for its restaurants and bars.
"Per all available information, check-in starts at 3 pm. We arrived at 3:30 pm and there was no one. We weren't sure what to do because there was just a phone number taped to the glass and we didn't have international calling. Luckily, a few minutes later a very nice young woman arrived to open the door and check us in. We stayed in the Nevis room, and the key we were given to open the front door didn't work. Luckily, it worked on the back door. I have no idea what we would have done if it hadn't, given the whole inability to call for help situation. The remote to the TV didn't work even with new batteries, but you could turn it on manually. Management should consider how international guests can get in touch with them if the guests don't have the ability to use their phones."
"1st room assigned had a bed I knew would be uncomfortable as could feel metal frame in mattress, lady at front showed us another room and bed was better but very hard for me but I survived. Carpet was very worn, could see through lining. Room was 129 square feet (which was noted on site) so there is no room to put luggage for two people, bathroom was almost as big as room, shower was a trickle of a sprayer that was clogged, it was a joke, or the rain shower above was an option BUT no shower cap so if you choose the rain shower your hair was getting wet. Water in shower was HOT and only HOT. I like hot showers but it was too hot. Parking in back so that was good. Great location to walk to Sterling castle or restaurants. If we were to stay again I would upgrade to bigger room. "
"The check in was smooth plus staff were helpful, the pool / spa was good condition, everything open and well kept but the rooms were not 4 star standard , quite worn carpets , and bunk beds were old , the breakfast was not nice , very dry , had been left out on hot lamps for a while and should of been regularly replaced and regularly checked, scrambled eggs were awful , black pudding ,and sausages were dry and tasteless so not the 4 star quality in a Scottish hotel that we were expecting sadly . The 24 hour reception when called later at night was unmanned and no one answered when we wanted fresh water either so they shouldn’t say there is a 24 hour reception if no one is at reception. "
"Great location for Stirling City centre, decent clean rooms and a very good breakfast. Only used it as a shopping point in the way up to Aberdeen so only a brief stay but a good place to stay at very reasonable rates."
"No fault of the hotel but when booked with Hotels.commit was booked as a Hilton. Apparently it has changed ownership and we were never informed by hotels.com which resulted in confusion when trying to look up the hotel on navigation "
"We stayed in a standard pod. Although small it had everything we needed including parking right outside it. One thing we did struggle with was the amount of power points. They were very limited. "
