"Enjoyed the spa the day of arrival. They were quick to fit me and my husband in for a couples massage within 30 minutes of asking. Spa hours are 10-5 roughly but they are extremely accommodating. They set up the hot tub for us afterwards and we enjoyed several glasses of wine. Several of our fellow travel companions also raved about their experience as well. Our AC split worked well which was wonderful after exploring the pier and shopping. The food is good in the restaurant and they have filtered water available at all times."
"We had a nice stay at Cucuve…great location. Met some lovely Swedish guests, who were relatives of the owners, and they gave us good tips. The hotel has all the amenities and a excellent breakfast made to order, unless Christian is the chef then it will be a struggle."
"Great hotel with amazing location in a beautiful inlet. We could see many marine animals and birds right from the poolside deck. They have kayaks and bikes for guests to use. Convenient location close to the dock and many restaurants, market and shops. Staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Very recommended"
"Max and his family were the perfect hosts. This is a great family run bnb that is a great location off the main strip. Coffee was always brewing in the early hours when we were setting off for diving and tours. Restaurants and locations where tours start are just a walk away. Also very close to some very cute off the strip cocktails and food at bohemian bar and agave studio."
"If you're planning a trip to the Galápagos Islands and looking for a place that combines comfort, warmth, and great value, Verde Azul in Puerto Ayora checks every box.
Our room was spotless from the moment we arrived — fresh linens, a well-maintained bathroom, and everything neatly organized. After long days of exploring the islands, coming back to a clean, quiet room made a real difference. The property itself is well-kept and has a relaxed, natural feel that matches the Galápagos vibe perfectly.
The staff at Verde Azul genuinely go above and beyond. They were warm, helpful, and knowledgeable about the islands — offering tips on the best snorkeling spots, tortoise reserves, and local restaurants that we never would have found on our own. Nothing felt like too much trouble for them. That personal touch is what sets this place apart from larger, more impersonal hotels"
"The hotel is a good, basic hotel for a one night stopover before boarding a Galapagos Island cruise. Egg station for breakfast. Pool, deck chairs and billiards table."
