"The hotel is located in a perfect area. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The trolley and Bart station are also close by. The staff was friendly. Room was clean. There ’s a mini fridge in the room. No microwave. Bathroom has all the amenities you might need. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Overall great experience. Will definitely be back. "
"Allowed me to check in 2 hours early (after a long flight), empty soap dispenser in shower, no pen in room. Clean but normal "extras" not to be found. Excellent staff, great location, convenient airport shuttle, 20 miles to San Pedro cruise terminal"
"We loved staying at The Welk! The rooms are HUGE and perfect for our needs. They were clean and well stocked. I requested a room close to a pool and they were able to accommodate that. Everyone was very friendly, all the way down to security. The pools were nice and our kids spent hours and hours at them during our week stay. We paid for a cabana for 2 different days. I'm so glad that when I booked it I was told that we would get a bag with snacks and a pool toy because the next day, we checked into our cabana and the girl didn't give us anything. I mentioned it and she said, oh yeah we don't have the bags right now but here is 2 bags of chips and 2 pops. I mentioned a pool toy and she handed me mermaid diver toys. Then when we got our second cababa 2 days later, we received a bag with not only soda, chips but waters and a beach ball. I was shocked we were supposed to get water too. I mentioned this to the guy what happened 2 days before and he apologize. He also checked on us a couple times during the day, when the first day, nobody checked on us. Two very different experiences with the cabana's. We ate at the main restaurant only once. The food was fine but the wait time to get our food was LONG. We mostly ate in our room. A grocery store and costco are not far. I love the location, only about 35 min from LegoLand, 45 min from San Diego Zoo / Beaches. The grounds are beautiful, it was quite. The beds were comfortable. We didn't particpate in any extra "
"The hotel was old the only area that looked nice was the lobby and the restaurant area but other words it looked old some of the workers were rude and I got sick a little from there food so it wasn’t a nice stay"
"This is a great hotel close to Disneyland, it is a 15 minute walk to Disneyland but 30 minutes all the way to the entrance. Rooms are good, comfty beds and shutters in the window. Bathroom is functional. Breakfast is great with lots of options to choose from, it gets crowded but we didn't have any problem finding a table.
There is a $25 charge for parking per day which is not good, but I guess that's standard for the hotels close to Disneyland. "
"This resort was better than expected. My husband my daughter and I stayed for 3 days and wish we would have booked even just one more. The whole resort is so beautiful and convenient. You can walk to the restaurants there which are amazing and the pools in each village is awesome. We really loved it & can’t wait to go back. Thinking of making it a spring break tradition. TY! paradise resort for a much needed getaway. "
