Hotel CC
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel and staff were great.
They have a refrigerator to store your purchased cheese, there is no fridge in the rooms.
It would be nice if they had travel size shampoo and conditioner.
Our room, #5, has a nice view of the canal."
"Excellent hotel, beautifully located and with nice, smart rooms. However, mostly there was no hot/warm water in the bathroom sink. I mentioned this to the reception staff several times, but in my 5 days there hot water worked only on two (evening) occasions.
The other thing was very rude chambermaid. On my final day she knocked my door at 09:25 and demanded I checked out. I mentioned that the check-out time was 12:00 and she preteneded she didn't understand, and still insisted I should vacate the room. I was about to anyway, but it was very unpleasant and it very mch spoiled the overall feeling of my stay in this hotel.
Usually, when in Amsterdam, I stay at NH Caransa. And I will probably go there again. Theydon't kick you out of your room there."
"Great location, close to central station but very quiet. The room unfortunately not very clean, bits and pieces of rubbish under the bed and corner of the room. Reception was very busy and don’t find that very welcoming from the staff."
"Very nice location. Much larger hotel than I had expected, had multiple people for reception and even had concierge. Note that it does have various little stairs up and down to get to some of the rooms but it is the nature of having joined up so many houses to make the hotel. Has two restaurants, a full-service restaurant and then a smaller one which we ate at a few times. Definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Amsterdam."
