"We loved our stay at the Clayton! The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and well managed. The hotel is within walking distance to many different areas of Bristol- we had a rental car but did not use it much as we were able to walk. There is no on premise parking, but there is a nearby parking garage that is recommended by the Clayton staff. If used, they will provide you with a voucher that greatly reduces the cost!"
"we had booked a townhouse Suite for 5 adults consisting of 3 bedrooms. I had personally called up reservations to confirm availability and thereafter booked through Expedia within 5 minutes of my call. Full amount was paid at time of booking.
we were however down graded to two individual rooms citing technical error in booking and amount adjusted .
very unprofessional."
"This property was very well facilitated in the middle of bath and had a range of lovely staff members always willing to help. We were close to everything in the centre of town but only minutes away from the train station. The room was always clean. They did take some time to replace some towels, however after asking politely everything was changed within a reasonable time frame also the room was medium size with a good facilities, our room had sky and also a really nice shower."
"The receptionist who checked us in was not even smiling or greeting us, he also failed to tell us the rooms are in a different buildings. We had large luggages and there are no lifts and no hotel staff to help (porters) on either hotel buildings so it was quite important to tell us on advance so that we do not drag large heavy luggages up and down the stairs twice for no reason!
We checked in 5 min before midnight and they told us breakfast has to be booked 24 h prior, so no flexibility there, and we couldn't book breakfast.
Rooms were clean and somewhat spacious.
The morning receptionist was delightful and kind.
The property has a small parking facility and charges £9 per day even though all around on the street was free parking till 9 am (we were just so tired and didn't look before the check-in)"
