"Bedding did not smell fresh nor clean, lumpy hard pillows uncomfortable bed, felt over used. My son and daughter n law had a brown mark on their top sheet!!!!"
"There were still room service plates outside our room from when we arrived till late that night. The ice machine barely worked to produce ice. The food in Terraces restaurant is supurb, but the poor staff performance lets it down. Apart from that, had a good stay"
"Room was great - comfortable, clean and spacious. Reception staff were welcoming and accommodating. Location was close by to our reasons for staying.
Criticisms- whilst my dietary requirement was catered for at breakfast, it was done so with an air of annoyance as if I had a choice (I wish I didn't have my condition) pending which chef was on and how busy/understaffed the restaurant was.
This could have been easily resolved in my case if the scrambled eggs didn't have cream in it or if fried eggs could have been available - I then wouldn't have asked for anything more and staff would have been more freed up to operate as needed. It would also help people to have the allergens listed on each of the choices at the buffet so people can make informed choices and reduce needing to ask.
One could say it ain't 5 stars what do you expect but I'm a person that also has a right to be catered for due to a medical condition and might not be able to afford a higher quality stay. I do think that taking on one of the simple suggestions I've outlined would make things more efficient for all parties involved. "
