citizenM Miami Worldcenter
4/10 Poor
"I wasn’t impressed with CitizenM world center. The room was smaller than expected, and I would not recommend for a couple to stay here if staying more than one night for space reasons. The AC was nearly non-existent, and despite calling the front desk and them telling me they would “boost things on their end”, nothing changed. Offering “fans” to cool down guests in a world-class city because you’re penny pinching climate control is crazy. On the highest fan setting and “maximum cool”, the room temp never changed and the hallway was cooler than the room. For someone who runs hot, this was a total disappointment and was uncomfortable. My girlfriend couldn’t put on makeup because she was sweating in the ambient heat. Also, the bed oddly only had one thick comforter, no top sheet- so I slept without any sheets.. There’s also no iron in the room, requiring you to go to a communal “ironing room” to prepare dresses or clothes. The room was clean and the idea of a cubicle room is interesting- however the cost cutting in the form of governing climate control and charging $7 waters in the lobby was distasteful. The front desk lady Adriana helped me a lot with changing my reservation so props to her."
"I had an amazing birthday here, the entire stay was incredible. The weather was perfect and the room was perfect with a beautiful balcony view. The room was clean and bright.
All the staff from the bartenders to the people working in the stores and restaurants and by the pool were friendly and had a good vibe from the check in to the man who stored our bags. This is the best hotel in Miami and it is a refreshing experience every time I come here. ❤️"
Embassy Suites by Hilton Miami International Airport
10/10 Excellent
"One of the better Hilton properties we've stayed at and definitely better than another Hilton property we stayed at just weeks before when we stayed in Miami"
"The room was in deplorable condition, garbage was left from the previous guest, bags and bags full of McDonalds and leftover food, first in the shower, mold on the shower door and showerhead, we could go on and on. The phone was broken and we could not call the front desk, the air conditioning did not work and needed to be reset. We left after one night and checked out early."
