A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid pool."

"Unfortunately that is where it ends, it did not feel like a B&B, but like a hostel, the shower and bathroom were very dirty and absolutely tiny, it was nigh-on impossible to get into the shower the space was so small."

"This was a last minute booking as a stopover before our ferry the next morning. We found the place on Hotels.com and were very pleased with the accomodation on our arrival. A beautiful historic hotel, quiet and relaxing. We travelled with our two dogs and were given a courtyard room that allow dogs. Room was very clean and comfortable. Dogs were provided with beds, bowls and some foodie treats. Hotel Restaurant food very good and the spa / pool area also good."
