To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. Gratefully."

"Second visit to this lovely hotel in the heart of the Black Forest. We chose a Superior Mountain View room which had a large balcony overlooking the village and mountain back drop. The room was large with luxury fittings. The restaurant is in the pricey side and there could be more choice of options. It is not open at lunch or on Sunday night."

I will say I booked the prestige level room which has the idyllic view into their gorgeous courtyard. That was everything for us. Without that, I’m not sure if it would have been the same. It’s not located in the very popular Petite France area of old town, but it’s still very walkable to everything inside of 15 minutes. "
