I stayed at the apartment for two nights. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, and very centrally located. The hotel itself is very beautiful especially the library. The front office team are very helpful and kind. Many thanks to Iris and Daniel for their help. I had drinks at the bar one night and Miguel had offered great recommendations on wine. It was a lovely stay and hope to stay in the hotel next time.

We stayed in an apartment in their second building on the Rua das Flores, a pedestrian only street. The apartment was spacious and stylish and well located for everything we wanted to do. Although our apartment was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, the staff was so helpful in bringing our luggage to us and bringing it back down when we checked out. The breakfast was amazing and I can’t compliment the staff enough for their service. Our morning waiter, George, was just awesome. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This hotel is amazing! We stayed here for 3 nights and the staff could not be more friendly or accommodating. The main building itself is gorgeous and had such charm. We ended up staying in the apartments building which is a short walk from the main building, so be aware of that when booking. That building also has stair only, so should be aware of that with accessibility. But we loved everything about the place and couldn’t recommend it more. The location was also PERFECT for exploring the best Porto has to offer.

Our stay was magical, from our arrival to the grand staircase, up to our lavishly appointed suite, to the freshly prepared breakfast daily. You will be enchanted by all the thought and consideration that goes into your experience here. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a departure from the usual destination hotel and stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks to the wonderful team who were so welcoming and pleasant, as familiar faces by the end of our stay.

Here’s the revised version of the review: --- Overall, a great stay. The only downside was that my room was in a separate building, a 3-4 minute walk from the check-in desk, so immediate assistance wasn’t always available when needed. Otherwise, the hotel was just FANTASTIC. Fully renovated facilities, great staff, and an excellent location within walking distance to everything. The room was even better than the photos and description!

I had a very nice stay in this hotel. It was incredibly classy and the service was top notch. I got a free upgrade and felt very comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommended.

We were only able to take a 5-minute shower after waiting 10 minutes for the water to get warm even for the first shower. The tiles in the shower were also broken, which isn't something I would expect from a "5-star" hotel. The staff was very accommodating, the view and location are excellent.

This was the perfect stay for our trip to Porto. We were traveling with our 4 month old baby and having a serviced apartment was so helpful. They had a baby cot, bath tub and the cutest little kids amenities too. The location was amazing - super central and beautiful. The staff was all very kind and helpful, our room was always so clean and restocked. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again should we return to Porto.

I was here for solo travel for my birthday in October-November. I booked the deluxe double and another room here. I experienced exceptional service and hospitality here. I felt like a princess honestly. The decoration for Halloween was so fun and festive, there was delicious themed snacks and breakfast was amazing 5 stars!! I have no complaints at all. The staff was amazing! Tiago, Georg, the front desk and the chef. If you want true luxury and hospitality, you must experience Torel 1884. I can’t wait to come back!!

Hotel com um staff dign de excelência. Todos os colaboradores de extrema atenção, de extrema competência e muito solícitos a tudo. Se hospedando aqui você se sente realmente em casa. Café da manhã a lá carte, com uma variedade grande para se pedir. Achei a ideia super válida pois diminui o desperdício de alimentos como os buffet. Se tem dúvidas sobre onde se hospedar na cidade do Porto, nem perca tempo em procurar outro local, o Torel é fantástico.

Great stay! They welcomed us with a coffee/water. They gave us a welcome drink to have at their bar for later as well. The bellboys were really nice and helped us with the luggage to go to the building next street down where the apartments are.

Brilliant, welcoming hotel staff and a lovely space. However, our room had an issue with the hot water not working, meaning we had to re-pack, change room, and unpack again - all quite disappointing for a one night stay. Also be aware that some rooms are off-site, so make sure you are ok with this! On the upside, the staff were excellent, offering us a welcome drink, and trying their best to resolve the hot water issue.

This place is stunning. Historical palace turned into a twelve-room boutique. If you can, definitely stay here. The staff was outstanding, the attention to details and the comfort made our trip special. The restaurant is the perfect size and the food delicious. Highly recommended.
