We ate supper and had breakfast in the hotel - both meals were good. The only point to make is that the room we had would be small for a long stay, but there may be larger ones. I left my glasses behind and Geoff, the owner, posted them back to me the next day.

Parking easy and onsite Food was great Host welcoming, friendly and professional Nice bar area Room warm and spacious. We stayed in the family room which was surprisingly spacious with proper beds for all. However, this room happens to be at the front of the property, which itself sits on the corner of a busy main road. Unfortunately the headlights and noise from traffic throughout the night made for a very difficult nights sleep.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and already booked to come back again. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Free parking is also a bonus. Just a few minutes away from the showground where they hold antique fairs. Jeff is an excellent host and cooks amazing meals. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Shower/Bathroom had mould, toilet seat was old and wooden. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast - Sausage was good quality. Cereal was stale. Crockery was greasy and glassware was cloudy. Overall everything could do with a good clean. Good parking. Owner and staff were lovely.

Lovely boutique style pub/hotel. Clean, comfortable, compact bedrooms. Ideally situated for Shepton Mallet and the showground. Will definitely be staying there again.

Had to wait at the bar for 10 minutes before someone came out to check us in. Landlord was very friendly though. Room was tiny and decor outdated. Only one plug socket in room to charge phone etc. Towels were old and tatty, kettle tiny and lead barely reached the plug socket from ledge. Wifi code did not work, despite multiple attempts. Only bottles and cans of beer, no beers on draught. Not much choice for food and overpriced for what it was. Pub area was very cold to sit in and smelt of eggs. The room was cheap though and included a good breakfast.
