Great stay. Very quiet in the rooms, never heard my neighbors and outside noise was minimal. Walking distance to the aquarium and plenty of restaurants. I was a little worried about parking but had no issues. Area felt safe during the day, lots of people walking around.

Good stay for one night.

The hotel was clean. The rooms did have an old smell to them but nothing terrible. The parking behind a high security fence was nice but made us question the safety of the area. There was a very nice restaurant right next door.

The room is really big, but the bathroom is super small (which allows you the space to stand only right next to the toilet and bathtub after the door is closed, plus the space putting down the bath mat right in front of where you stand, so after you're done with shower, if you want to walk out, first you need to pick up the mat, so you have a space to stand in that spot where the mat was, then the door could be open, and no place to put your clean clothes, you'll have to walk out of shower room and put on your clothes outside; this design just didn't work for me. The beds are facing the sink which is located outside of shower space with bright light installed above the sink, so it's like if you're lying on bed trying to sleep and another person is still drying hair in front of the sink, it's too bright to fall asleep. There's a wall in between the bed and the sofa area, but the space from that wall to the bed is too narrow for a person to squeeze in and climb onto bed from that side, so I had the kiddo sleeping close to the night stand side, so I couldn't get on the bed from my side and had to try carefully climbing on to the bed

Excellent hotel!

The hotel stay was nice, location was convenient. Great breakfast!! However, once you step out the door, we felt unsafe. Atlanta has a serious homeless/drug issue. Several "zombie" like people who will approach you. Be vigilant and aware. Just to be clear, the hotel was excellent and so was the staff.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel was quiet and clean. Parking (while $35 a night) was on the property behind a keyed-entry gate which made it well worth the price for peace of mind. The bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed during a bit of a heat wave and had no issues cooling off the room. The bathroom was pretty tiny and narrow which wasn’t an issue for us, but could be for others. The free breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast, no complaints. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again!

Affordable clean option downtown!

I was attending a conference at a hotel a few blocks away but wanted a more economical option. Hyatt Place fit the bill perfectly! The rates were great, saving me hundreds of dollars compared to the special conference rate at the conference hotel. Hyatt Place is centrally located, and was nice to hop right off the train from ATL and be at the hotel in minutes. The place was clean, staff friendly, and I got a huge king suite with a separate couch and sitting area, mini kitchen, and large bath-counter space. The bathroom itself was small but was clean and functional. The rooms are devoid of color (all brown) so not an inspiring or modern hotel, but I found them clean, with comfy beds and great power options around the room to work and stay in comfort. The gym is not good if you want to do anything but get on a machine, FYI- one 5lb dumbbell set, two treadmills, an elliptical and a Peloton squished into a tiny room. Breakfast was nice to have with a variety of hot and cold options. The area is fine, it's downtown and not much different than Chicago so I wasn't bothered, and walked around early evening with no issues. If you're particularly worried about safety, there is a visible security guard at the hotel lobby at night.

I arrived at 3AM and there were a dozen people in front of me with reservations but no available rooms. I had paid for mine in advance and had to wait 30 minutes before they realized that and gave me a room.
