Hotel located near Bethesda in the northern part of Washington. The hotel is about 400 meters from the subway and bus station. The subway takes about 40 minutes to reach the city center. Hotel with comfortable rooms. It has a restaurant and vending machines with snacks for sale. There are not many restaurants nearby.

Location was very convenient. Room was fine. Staff was very nice, but room was unavailable when I arrived and I was told I would receive call to alert me when it was ready, and I never received call. Also I requested a 7am wake-up call; the call came at 6am.

Pillows not comfortable at all. Temperature in the room too hot despite putting the air conditioning on, which clearly didn’t work. And when I checked out and mentioned it to the person at the front desk they shrugged and asked me if I wanted the bill. No apology, no “we will get it looked at” - nothing. I was attending a funeral for my uncle and I chose the hotel for its proximity to the funeral home. Never again, not even for free would I stay there.

Would not recommend stying st this hotel in the “13” line. The room is right next to the elevator creating round the clock noise from the shaft, not hallway noise such as talking or bells ringing. Because this room was reserved and paid through Hotels.com, there was little that Marriott management was able to do directly in the way of financial compensation. They stated they are contacting Hotels.com to have one night credited. We’ll see if I ever get it. This situation makes me reluctant to use Hotels.com again.
