We stayed one night at the Sheraton in Charlotte, NC. I want to start by saying the staff was genuinely lovely and the property itself was clean and well-maintained, but our experience was severely impacted by the condition of the bed and pillows. The room was quite small, but that would have been manageable if we had been able to sleep comfortably.
Unfortunately, the bed was like sleeping on concrete. It was unbelievably hard and unforgiving. The pillows were flat, lumpy, and offered no support. I woke up multiple times during the night in pain, and by morning, I had severe neck and shoulder pain that I’m still dealing with days later. My range of motion has been significantly limited, and I have never had a hotel bed cause me this much discomfort. My husband also woke up sore, though thankfully not to the extent that I did.
I truly cannot overstate how awful the bed was. It was the worst sleep surface I have ever experienced, and I have stayed in everything from budget motels to high-end resorts. While everything else about the property was fine, the entire point of a hotel stay is to rest, and that just was not possible here. I would not return or recommend staying unless the beds are replaced
