Never stay at this Holiday Inn Express at Denver Downtown. AC were not working in the rooms and the hotel staff was well aware of it. Also the bathrooms do not have any ventilation, so its a real problem if multiple members are in the family and want to use one after the other. Staff was very unhelpful and acknowledged all issues saying they cannot do anything about it. Real shame.

BHS convention

We were in Denver for convention, so location was great. It was just a few blocks from pedestrian mall with many food choices. Felt safe walking at night after shows, there was police presence and many people always around. Breakfast was good, had great little cinnamon rolls. The bathroom was small, definitely a 1 person bathroom. The flush mechanism was a “pus h” rod in the wall. Had to have maintenance give us tutorial. Also close to Union Station and train.

Not very family friendly.

It was a bare basic hotel. The rooms are very small. Beds not very comfortable. Bathrooms. Really small. No restaurant on site so you need to walk or find food delivery. You can’t change the room temp so the rooms get hot. They say there are fans in the room but neither of ours had one. When asked to get a fan sent up. We never got a fan for our room.

Bad Stay

The A/C was not controllable by the guests. It was hot and uncomfortable. They did however, provide fans for the guests. They really spoiled us with that. I order two wake up calls, and did not get either one. You cannot charge people to stay in a hotel and not allow them to control the temperature. Also, some of the outlets did not function. The Iron in the room barely function.

Broken AC!

We arrived to discover that valet parking was a $50 extra charge, without other parking options. Also the AC in the entire building was broken. Our first room had a water problem and there was wet carpet in half the room. They moved us, but with no AC and the unexpected parking situation (paying extra and not having ready access to our vehicle) was annoying and uncomfortable. Also the rooms were so small we couldn't have our suitcases open anywhere except on our beds. Very frustrating! We will not be staying there again. I am so sad because we paid a lot of money for this stay and it wasn't ok.

Bad service

While staying the aircon didn't work - we could be registered at a waiting list for a fan, but it were never available. I July with 95f, we were melting. One of the two elevator didn't work aswell. The receptionist was very rude. We wont come again.

Great Location, But Needs Service Improvements

The location was definitely a highlight—very centrally located and convenient for getting around. However, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The front desk was rarely staffed, and the entrance doors were often locked at odd hours and difficult to open. The breakfast area was small and not cleaned between guests, which made it feel unwelcoming. Additionally, the TV would randomly shut off and blast sound when turned back on, which was frustrating. With a few improvements to service and upkeep, this hotel could be much more comfortable.

Hotel is very clean. Emma at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. Hotel does not allow individual rooms to adjust their thermostat. They give you a fan to use. They claim that parking is available. It is if you want to find a spot on the street or pay a lot of money to park in a dirty lot that is not owned by the hotel. Breakfast was good. Room was small.

Hot in Denver

The air conditioner was not working. Our room was 77°. They gave us a box fan to try and cool off the room. They said the air conditioning was working we just could not control it in our room. When we were in the room and we felt the vent hardly any air was coming in. It was awful. Fortunately a Representatives with hotel.com was able to talk with the hotel and cancel two of the three days we were there. We ended up spending that first night there but we did not have to spend the rest of the time there. I was only charged for the first day. So while the hotel sucked I am grateful that hotels.com was able to help us get out of that awful Hotel

Do not stay in summer

The AC is in desperate need of being updated. It's not broken, it's just inneficient. Our room was nearly 80° at night even after leaving the curtains closed all day to keep the sun out. To make the heat worse, the faucets do not run cold water for more than 30-60 seconds. The shower gets hot (not warm, hot) quickly and won't cool down. Ice machines broken on 2 of the 3 floors our party stayed on.

Don’t stay here

The air did not work and the temp stayed at a toasty 80 degrees our entire stay. The phone did not work. I informed the front desk, however it was not ever fixed. The information on hotels.com did not inform us that parking would have to be either valet at 50 dollars a night or we would have to pay for public parking at an hourly rate due to no parking for the hotel. Breakfast was subpar. The staff wasn’t friendly or helpful.
