The room was very neglected! Wads of hair appeared on our towels that were given to us each day. And the shower wasn't cleaned until I complained about it being dirty and hair being stuck on the walls. The floor of the room was never cleaned and one of our double beds kept breaking off it's platform. However, the front desk staff and breakfast was great! It seems like the hotel put all of it's money into the lobby but neglected the rooms. They definitely need to hire better housekeepers! We also saw 2 huge rats running through the hallway one night. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I WILL PAY MORE TO STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE NEXT TIME!

Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was clean, but the hallway needs more frequent cleaning. My room was next to a water heater which sometimes made noise, but we got it attenuated with the AC unit running. The bathroom fan extractor was sometimes very loud. The TV turned on randomly and as a result we unplugged it at night. The AC unit was under the curtain resulting in a shorter curtain that did not darken the room well. The location was great and surprisingly quiet. Parking spots are limited and very compact including for a standard sedan. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

We arrived at the hotel after disembarking from our cruise ship and was surprised to find that we were able to check into our rooms early. The staff was wonderful, very friendly & helpful. Particularly Darlene at the front desk, she was totally awesome, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I didn't have much interaction with the other lady at the front desk but she was friendly. Calvin from breakfast was great too. Food was excellent! Wonderful homemade biscuits. The lobby was inviting and comfortable and we were allowed to use the tables and chairs to play games and eat our pizza. Darlene even got us paper plates, napkins and cups from the buffet area. Totally loved the genuine southern hospitality from everyone there. We will definitely stay there again! The only negative was when we checked into our room, the toilet had been used by someone and not flushed. We didn't notify anyone, but should have. I just took Lysol wipes to everything. It would have been nice to have more restaurant choices nearby but otherwise it was a great place to stay and right out front was streetcar and bus stops as well as the beautiful Armstrong Park. It is a very convenient location.

Very well located for visiting the French quarter perfect for walking. The staff were super delightful even gifted me a water bottle for my babies milk. Had an amazing breakfast with amazing staff that kept open a while longer the morning checked in late. Overall an amazing stay and would definitely repeat of visiting New Orleans again.

The room was clean, but very old and dark. The wooden balconies that led to the rooms needed updating - rotten wood. The hotel itself needed a lot of work - updating & maintenance. However, the breakfast was ‘superb!’ Lots of choice & tasty food. Good coffee facilities too.

Very good value for money with a beautiful garden. It is conveniently located near Burboun Street, yet far enough to avoid noise from the crowds. Parking is safe and reasonably priced. The only downside is poor sound insulation, so you can hear everything your neighbors say, and the AC/heating unit is very loud, requiring you to turn it off to sleep.

First time at a BW and was not disappointed, staff was friendly and accommodating for our early arrival. Location is central to Burbon st and the city most places of interest within walking distance. Hotel is clean and well run.

The room was terrible rated 1-2 stars. The view was awful with one window overlooking the top and back of peoples cars. The other was of the concrete wall. The parking was a nightmare. We had to unload the vehicle. I had to carry everything myself because someone had to stay in the vehicle due to vehicles being towed. We then had to drive 4 blocks and park for an additional 50 bucks and then walk back. The website says self parking but unfortunately you can’t park on site due to unavailability.when it came time to check out, we had to walk 4 blocks back to get the vehicle and load everything the same way we unloaded with someone staying in the car. Overall, for the price, the mess with parking, and the hotel being 1-2 stars, you can find something for half the price and save some money. This hotel stay was not worth $400.00.
