We were incredibly disappointed with most aspects of our stay at this hotel, given that InterContinental properties are usually a cut above. The bathroom shower had hair and bugs in it, the wallpaper was peeling, the waitress at the restaurant actually snapped at us when we arrived, the thermostat had to be replaced twice, the bathroom lights were flickering, causing concern about the electrical system, and in fact there WAS a fire alarm (NOT a drill), during which the front desk staff had obviously not been trained to give directions and information to guests (after we had to run down 20 flights of stairs). I am not making this up! Worst of all, the rooms do NOT have their own A/C units, and the central system simply blows humid air into the room like a swamp cooler. The carpets were literally damp from the humidity, and we were very sweaty and sticky the entire time.
