Middle of the road but decent enough

We found this last minute stay during Expo weekend when our Vrbo fell through. Rooms were clean enough but bed was hard and pillows were small and the room construction happened in the evenings (10 pm) sounded like it was right next door or above us. Hammering/drills, scraping of ladders dragged across the floor just threw off my sleep schedule, especially last night, which annoyed me to no end (as you and the desk clerk could probably tell) being that my husband and I are usually asleep by 9pm as he is up at 3:30am. The walls are not romotely soundproof and the gaps in the door let all hallway sounds into the room. Air Conditioning worked well, Fridge was a decent size, Microwave was the cleanest of any hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. Customer service from the desk was good though they did deactivate our keys after night two of three, so had to get them reactived (and they did not ask for ID or name on the booking before reactivating them which gave me some security concerns).

Nice place shame about the police situation

Not pleased that I was stopped by the police twice as I went to my car and asked for license registration and insurance without any cause whatsoever. I informed management and asked why the police were allowed to constantly patrol their private property they told me the Calgary government informed them if they did not let police to come onto the property at any time they would cancel their business license and shut them down . I fact checked this and it’s true. The place is nice and it’s very reasonable price but make sure you are careful and give yourself extra time when heading to meetings or appointment to be searched and have your information confirmed with motor vehicle office. If you have any issues that can make you look impaired, like a leg that is disabled such as mine that makes me wobble a little atm, then you get to be humiliated publicly by blowing into the alert machine. I of course have asthma and got told off for being difficult . But it’s a nice hotel, I feel sorry for the owners

9.5/10 on ice but.......

Right when we got there a guy was getting arrested. We asked for an addyional blanket twice yet we never got the blanket or a response. The shower wasnt making questionable noises. The hallway was literred a bit. There was no water fountain yet there was a gym and a washer/dryer. We werent even sure where the entrance was and the reception looked very informal.

Rude staff

There was broken glass in bathroom, someone was smoking in there rooms and it was coming through the air vent in the bathroom. Janet (front desk was very rude and tried to blame me when i was the one to call and complain. My room phone didn't work. The my bathroom was not cleaned and had to ask thw housekeeper threeor four times to clean the tub. Eventually i did it. Both the house keeper and the night desk staff were quite rude. The front desk gentleman who checked me in was nice

Need some attention

Terrible hotel. I come to cakagry every week and stay couple of days for my business so I usually go to one the hotel near there however that one was boooed and last min at 9Pm i booked thai hotel as it was super cheap. I was hoping if this hotel is good then i can come here every week. Light switch doesn’t work when i enter, AC made noises suddenly cant even sleep Tv remote doesn’t work. Literally the worse hotel i have ever stayed. So i can see why it’s so cheap my recommendations are increase the price and increase the quality of the room. Positive side is they painted the inside new and renovated as well. But most important but they forgot the sleeping and comfort experience.
