The only complaint I have is the parking facilities and the breakfast in the morning by the time we got for breakfast there’s only a couple of muffins and orange and apple. I think there should be a little bit more fruit. A bigger selection would be nice other than that what a wonderful stay

Hotel parking was full so had to park on street. Staff were slow to attend to desk, or just away on break. Noisy partiers carried on a few times in the night. It’s a character hotel and some trim on stairnose has come off, needs maintenance. Downtown location is convenient for events. We’ve stayed here before and you have to consider the area and not leave anything in your car overnight. Would give it another try if I need a room in the area.

The room was clean and bed comfortable but there was a smell in the hallway that was nauseating, not as strong in the rooms. The shower head is low and water pressure low. Both Friday and Saturday the bar/lounge and people on the street were very loud.

We were attending an event at TCU Place so this was perfect in the location. very close to many different options for food. We also ate at the attached paper which was awesome with excellent service there. I appreciated all the security measures they had in place inside the hotel and also in the parking area. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at The Senator in the cold weather of March and the heat was perfect, warm and toasty. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff went above and beyond to help us. My sister was in the RUH and the family chose the Senator because of the beautiful walk to the Hospital. The Senator made our trip into less of a hospital visit and more a visit of famiy.

So happy this affordable option is available. Saves us a lot of money over other nearby hotels and is good enough for a bed for the night. Beware though, some rooms are directly over the pub, which plays teenie tunes on weekend nights I guess. It’s great to have in-house fine dining, the English pub, and basement pub/microbrewery. All are super-great and you don’t even have to leave the hotel! It’s a unique set up that ads to the appeal of the place. Limited but gated/secure parking in the rear. It’s an old hotel and has a very nostalgic feeling which is cool. Hope it stays that way.

This hotel and rooms have beautiful architectural features. Built in 1907 the rooms contains most of the original features. Why is it a three star? The has little sound proofing with noise coming from the street you can hear conversations off the sidewalk. With the age of the hotel the water pressure is low and the room has that damp smell of old buildings, the rooms could use air circulation. Would I stay here again? I would prefer to stay in a modern hotel with up to date amenities and better sound proofing, but I am glad to have stayed there and feel the history.
