Lovely relaxing stay.
Lovely place. Historic building with lots of charm. Some rooms not easily accessible if you struggle with mobility so make sure you inform them when booking. The staff are lovely. The restaurant serves a good evening meal. Lovely relaxing stay.

Family of four stay
Family of four (2 kids under 9) stay for 3 nights whilst house hunting in the area. Room was perfect for our needs, the food was lovely and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation!

Lovely place that we will defiantly book again
Let’s start with the down side, parking. There is parking but it is very limited. That’s it bad bit over. Good bits, well in short everything. We had the family room (10) and it was ideal for us. The multi room format meant that the kids could go to sleep and we could just relax in our own room/area. Food great, staff brilliant and always willing to help. We even asked the chef for her banana bread recipe and she gave it to us. Just remember that parts of the building were built in the 14th century so there are lots of different levels. Look forward to booking again in future.

A warm welcome
From our arrival until our departure the staff ensured that our stay was comfortable with nothing being too much trouble starting with the welcome we received. Interesting building with a lovely garden. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Check-in was a tad disorganised but this was due to COVID arrangements so not unreasonable. Trying to ring the hotel for guidance on parking was unanswered which was frustrating. Having parked and found someone to check us in we could not have been happier. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean room and very well fitted bathroom . Enjoyable breakfast and a friendly team serving and super-helpful with all requests. Would stay again without hesitation.
