We stayed in Via Porto room 2 for a 4 night city break in Split and were very happy with the choice. The location is superb, a short walk from the ferry port and the old town so were able to walk everywhere. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious with basic catering facilities, the welcome snacks and coffee were a nice touch. Very close to a good bakery and supermarket. The rooms are up 3 floors of steps which wasn't a problem for us with the luggage. It is self check in and that went fine, and the owners were helpful throughout. Would certainly recommend Via Porto as a base for exploring Split.

It’s ok but I will not come back.

Pro: room is small but clean. Location is good. Con: check in is pain in the neck. Before arriving the owner sent me a long text of instructions. The problem is it contains two errors and we can’t find the key. We need to wait about 15 minutes, a young woman came. She open the door. The room is at 4th floor not 3rd floor as described. Europe count first floor as 0. So, we need to carry our two medium size luggages to 4th floor. When she said if you need anything just let me know. I said can you help with my luggages? She smiled, went down stairs and left. She provide ZERO help during our stay. There are plenty other places providing much better services.

We booked a taxi from the airport to the apartment, which arrived and was on time. However we waited outside on the pavement for 45 minutes for check in instructions, as the owners forgot to send. We booked room number 2, it is more basic than it appears in photos with limited storage space and could be improved with a few extras such a chest of drawers. We stayed 7 nights and had to ask for our room to be cleaned and for fresh towels as the cleaner forgot to come. We ordered a taxi back to the airport through the apartment which was 20 mins late so we got an uber in the end. The owners were polite and did get back to us about these issues but it seemed badly organised. The apartment is in a good location, easy walk into old town with some nice restaurants just over the (busy) road for change from main promenade and old town.

Overall, our stay here was very pleasant and the host did a great job answering our questions and getting us settled. We had minor issues with the wifi, but those were resolved within a day. The larger inconvenience was that the hot water in the shower got used up very quickly. Between my partner and I showering, one of us would always end up getting stuck with cold water at the end. Overall, though, the room was beautiful, the host provided extra tools for us to go to the beach, and we enjoyed having the balcony to look over and admire the neighborhood cats.

Perfekt läge och mycket hjälpsam värd! Tänkt på att lägenheten ligger på tredje våning, dvs många trappor! Skönt med AC! Balkongen hade vi ingen nytta av, då det var för varmt för att sitta där. Info-boken behöver uppdateras, innehåller felaktig info.

Very good location, only a few minutes walk from the old town. The owners were very each time contact and only live nearby for any issues. The room is very tidy and elegant and the bathroom looks brand new with great fittings. We would definitely recommend and would come back here if we visit split again!

호스트도 굉장히 친절해요! 예상 시간보다 일찍 가서 연락했는데도 엄청 친절하게 맞아주셨어요! 엘레베이터가 없어서 짐을 3층까지 올려주셨는데 엄청 무거워서 오히려 제가 미안할 정도였어요... 호스트도 친절하고 구시가지로 돌아다니기도 진짜 가까워서 좋아요! 시설도 엄청 깨끗해요...엄마랑 왔는데 엄마가 굉장히 만족하셨어요. 산전망이었는데도 테라스 뷰가 아주 좋았고, 간식도 맛있었습니다! 다음에 오면 다시 이용하고싶어요 :)

Our room needed nothing—we had a gorgeous room and bathroom, plus mini fridge (with a few drinks) and a microwave and kettle with other snacks and instant coffee and tea. Only two caveats: you must have WhatsApp on your phone to contact the staff (cannot “just call” on your mobile, and there are three flights of stairs with no elevator. But the service was AMAZING. Paolo arrived quickly to let us in and give our keys, he carried my bag up the stairs(!), and he even called us an Uber to take us to the airport. (We paid the driver cash and Paolo confirmatory the amount before we left.) don’t let the humble building exterior fool you—this place is fantastic!!!

We loved this property. It’s close to city center and it is beautiful. It’s a good size and everything is new and pristine. Free drinks, a mini fridge and snacks were all great. Netflix on the tv, perfect. Paulo was amazing and tended to every need. Also the bathroom is fantastic. We loved every second of our stay. PLEASE STAY THERE!
