I had reserved the Comfort Inn they called me the day before and moved me over to the Travel Lodge because of renovations. Travel lodge was dirty, no breakfast and just felt unsafe (phone line cut, rice on the walls, sink wouldnt drain, mold in room, carpet floors were all sticky). I tried to add puctures but it wouldn't let me.

Run Run Run!

This place is absolutely disgusting! Came here with my boyfriend for a getaway at the beach, to our surprise there were many many roaches! When we called the front desk to see if we could potentially switch rooms or get a refund the front desk hung up on us, when calling back they were super rude and said they wouldn’t refund us and that we had to do it through the booking app and that it wasn’t up to them. we were charged for 2 days and didn’t even stay 1.

Not where you want to stay!

Awful family arrived late to next door. I asked management if I could be moved. "It is a family. They are loud." Was her response. I am a grandmother of 4 and have never experience such child abuse and poor parenting. I turned up the a/c loud and tv so I could rest until the children when to sleep. Old unit. Poor skills on the desk. I will not return!

It’s cheap for a reason

The room was semi renovated. The bathroom floor had cracks with mold and dirt buildup. The seems for the bathtub were also filled with mold. On the last night of our stay we found bed bugs. Needless to say we will not be back.

Would not recommend staying here .

The hotel is very dirty inside and outside. Blow dryer did not work. One elevator for the whole building and completely on opposite end of room where I stayed. The refrigerator stunk. We had a great ocean view , however our room door was hard to open and close. The toilet clogged repeatedly and the whole room needs a good deep cleaning.

In very poor condition. Did not service our room (bedding/towels were not changed). The room stated two queen beds but we got two double and we couldn't sleep in the same bed. Would not stay again

Sorry decision.

Nobody at front desk for check in for 20 minutes, then finally when people arrived, the system was down. I spent an hour waiting to finally get a key. Outside of building in disrepair with loads of trash sitting around. No handicapped parking at my handicapped room.

This was probably a really nice hotel at one time, however, it is really could use some renovations, which I think that might have been occurring. THe room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I had what was supposed to be an oceanfront room, however, I could barely see the ocean, so if you really can't see the ocean, you shouldn't be charged oceanfront rates. Breakfast was the bare minimum, maybe because it was the off season.

There were no towels when we arrived, the roaches must have used them. The gentleman at the desk gave me a "You're going to make me get up and do something look" when I went to ask for them. Trash on the grounds and parking lot. Feral cats all over the place, feces everywhere.

Great Inexpensive OBX Motel

Was originally given room very close to beach. There was ZERO lighting (possibly cuz of turtle nesting. I didn’t feel comfortable / safe. Hotel staff was more than willing to change my room. Walking distance with convenient walking path to the beach.

resort fee not refunded

the hotel location is in a great place and close to the main roads. The room decor was okay just a bit outdated but it looks like the hotel is going thru some renovation. However, I was surprised that when I checked in I was charged an additional $10 fee called a resort fee and this fee was not on my hotel.com reservation. The gentlemen who checked me in stated that the fee is refundable but I have not seen the refund. When I call the number listed on the hotel website no one answers. I would like to have my refund as promised.

Good enough

We stayed the weekend to participate in the Christmas bar crawl. We knew we werent going to be in the room much, just needed a place to stay. Room was clean. Hotel is definitely an older building, only concern we had with that was the dark/rusty water when turned the shower on. It worked for us for a couple nights but nothing to write home about.
