We slept incredibly well and the staff were excellent.
However, we booked an executive room for 2 nights & did not get any of the executive upgrades. This is the feedback we sent to the hotel on check-in evening but heard no response:
Your website says that an executive room includes
1. Luxury bathroom with heated floor and steam free mirrors. There is no heated bathroom floor. We have an electric radiator with no instructions as to how to use it in the main room and no heating in the bathroom. No idea if the mirrors are steam free as not yet showered, but they don't look steam free. (edit: they weren't steam free) The bathroom isn't luxury. No luxury bathroom has a shower curtain. A luxury bathroom has a glass shower screen and door.
2. Luxury upgraded toiletry collection. We have a cheap small shower gel, shampoo and a tiny bar of soap. It's Travelodge standard at best and definitely not upgraded and definitely not anywhere near luxury.
3. Luxury towels and bathrobes. There's no bathrobes. My husband asked the night chap at reception and he laughed and said "first I've heard of it".
4. Mobile device docking stations. There are none. We don't need them, but you advertise them.
5. 32" flat screen TV and DVD player. There's no DVD player and the TV doesn't work.
We were there for a funeral so weren't staying to use the hotel facilities, but it's a shame as the hotel is nice, with friendly, helpful and hardworking staff, but feedback was ignored.
