The staff were all very helpful and polite. Check in was smooth. We found the room, very small and the ensuite was tiny, even the toilet flush handle scraped into the wall when used. The shower was cramped (caravan like).
The beds were comfy, lovely duvets and pillows.
The gym was terrible. Tiny and smelly. There is, however a gym in the Bloomsbury opposite which can be used. A shame to have to cross the road in the rain to go use it though.
Breakfast was very nice. Plenty of choice, all well cooked, the eggs benedict was delicious.
They took £50 deposit on arrival, which wasn't explained prior to the stay (straight from account rather than held on card). I am still waiting for it to be returned 3 days later. This is very bad form and unlike any other hotel I've encountered.
The staff all work very hard and are to be commended.
The room/ensuite size and deposit situation are deal breakers, and we won't be returning. We would however consider the Bloomsbury.
