Second stay but probably won’t return. The hotel is clean. They want $44 to check in 90 minutes early. With similar motels lining Munras and all over the area you’d think they’d be more interested in repeat business that trying to squeeze a few more dollars out of a guest. Not a different decision to just pick another motel. We stay in Monterey about every other weekend from August to December and have never had this issue anywhere else.

The owners are very pleasant to work with and the landscaping is beautiful. The fireplaces are a real treat. The price is very reasonable for a fireplace room.

The stay at the Pelican Inn Monterey was horrible . First of all if you book thru Hotels. Com or Expedia your surely going to be staying in one of the less desired rooms as oppose to if you’re a full price paying customer you’ll get a better recent remodeled room. This hotel is not ADA friendly no elevator to get to the second floor. Water leakage, dripping water and loud toilet noises all night in the bathroom Owner was very rude and not willing to willing to accommodate I do t recommend this hotel at all

This was my second stay at the pelican inn and I will continue to go there when I travel to the area! It’s convenient, close by popular places and beautiful drives. The staff is very nice. My only complaint was the power outlets were loose and my chargers fell out of them during the night. Just needs a little fix!

We always enjoy or stay here at the Pelican Inn. Manager provides amazing customer service and she even remembered me after only staying with them once, months ago. Booked a room with a fireplace this time and it was warm, quiet, and relaxing. Exactly what we needed. Definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay at a great price.
