We arrived a little early (about 30 minutes). Our room wasn't ready, which is fine (and expected) since we were a half hour early. We were told we could check-in at 3:00 and the room would be ready then. We returned to check-in about 10 past 3. We were told our room still wasn't ready, but they found a room that was available for us.
I had noticed I had been charged twice for the room. Once by Hotels.com and once by the Days Inn. I brought this up with the Days Inn manager as I was charged by Days Inn the day before my check-in date. They advised it was impossible, as they didn't have my billing info. I showed them the charge on my credit card balance indicating it was a direct billing from Days Inn. They said I would have to deal with it through Hotels.com. Seemed odd given Hotels.com charges show as "Hotels.com," and not "Days Inn."
The room was adequate. Typical motel, it was clean but the amenities lacked a coffee maker. Every place I stay lately at least has a single cup coffee brewer in the room. I was surprised this unit had a microwave, a small refrigerator, but no coffee maker.
Anyway, overall it was an average stay. The biggest I issue I have is the double billing. More to follow if it is difficult to resolve. Week later, still trying to resolve the issue. ONE STAR, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
