A group of us were coming into town to leave the following day for a cruise. This hotel worked out well. I do have to say that calling it "cruise port" is a little misleading. It took about 25 minutes (driving through downtown) to get to the cruise port. But, we did not mind really. The rooms were clean, the grounds were nice, overall a great no-frills option. I have to, unfortunately, point out that while the breakfast was great the lady keeping things stocked and then cleaning up was not. She was the only rude staff member, but she was extremely rude to everyone and even yelled at a member of my group who was trapped and trying to tiptoe around where she was mopping. Hotel...above average. That one member of the staff...very poor.

The condition of the room was disappointing for the price I was charged along with an additional $100 for “incidentals”. The air conditioning was a unit in the wall that was old and worked poorly. Smelled musty in the room. There were food or mold stains on the walls. Only positive factor, no bugs! Never again!

The AC in the room was tucked away by the bathroom. So the room didn't cool that much. Couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work. I will pick a different hotel next time im in the area.

Stayed here for proximity to cruise port. It was fine. Rooms clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom tiny and shower pressure lousy. AC very loud and disruptive while sleeping as well as blackout curtains being too small and bright light outside our room lighting everything up. Breakfast was good with waffles yogurt toast/bread eggs but not enough seating and pretty small window they were serving. Took the shuttle ($10 PP) to cruise port and that was seamless. So would stay again if going on a cruise but not necessarily choose it for a general trip to Tampa.

This stay has started my One Night in Tampa blog; in other words, it was terrible. I was scared for my life... traveling solo, I had never been to Tampa so I should've researched on best places...well, safe places to stay in Tampa. As soon as I arrived, a potential drug dealer/pimp and his umm... service worker was in the lobby. Need I say more? I rushed to my room and placed a chair against my door, slept with one eye open and counted the minutes until daylight for when my cruise began. Urggh.... scary times!

The floor of the room was absolutely disgusting. Walked around barefoot and our feet were filthy and had to be wiped prior to getting into bed. Broken curtains, stained bedding, walls with holes in them, a sink that didn't drain properly and a door that didn't comletely seal either so closing out noise wasn't an option.

Absolutely awful! Way over priced for the quality of the facility! Dirt in the sheets and stains on the pillow cases. Huge gape under door could watch people pass by throw the gap under door. Mold in room. Was just awful! Lady at check in was already rude so didn’t want to complain to her. Breakfast was just as bad.

We stayed at this hotel for one night before going on a cruise from the port of Tampa. It’s certainly not a 5 star property, but I gave the rating based on experience. We were a group of 10. We got in at night and had two people celebrating birthdays. Trish at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. She was great at check in, had lots of information ready, and helped our group use the breakfast area so we could all get together for a little birthday celebration. The property and rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, and the shuttle service to the port made this an ideal hotel for those going on a cruise.

The breakfast bar was very good. Linda made it outstanding. She deserves a raise. Made everyone who came in feel welcomed and showed she really cared. She made up for some of the other front office staff. The AC/Heater in the room was very loud, making it hard to sleep.
