By far the worst stay I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been to MANY countries and remote places, but I’ve never had such a disgusting hotel room and such an absurd front desk experience. To be objective: I booked one room for four people. Upon arrival, I had to wait 40 minutes in line to check in. They gave me a room with only TWO towels and just THREE pillows. When I asked for the correct number (one for each guest), the incredibly rude receptionist said they didn’t provide “extra” towels and that there were no more pillows available in the hotel. He told me that if I wanted a different level of service, I should go stay at a Hilton or Marriott. I told him I would—if he refunded my money. He refused. When I said that was outrageous, he came out from behind the desk and aggressively walked toward me. If it weren’t for other guests in line taking my side, I fear I would’ve had to call the police. Anyone staying at this hotel is either unaware or out of their mind! Not to mention, the carpet at the room’s entrance was covered in mud and smelled awful. The bed was less comfortable than the floor. The bathroom had no ventilation, and the exhaust fan didn’t work. I spent the night wide awake, afraid the receptionist might do something to us. A real life awake nightmare!
