The experience was terrible, with tons of random extra fees, including a mandatory destination fee of $30 per day. ( A nightly resort fee of $33.84 has already been charged. ) During check-out, I was just a bit confused and asked the front desk why this fee was charged since it wasn’t mentioned during check-in or listed on the Expedia invoice. The African-American woman at the front desk was incredibly impatient and had a terrible attitude, making me feel like she was ready to hit me if someone hadn’t stopped her. If you have such a bad temper, why are you working in customer service? Why not just go somewhere you can act like a boss?
Her communication skills were awful; she couldn’t explain properly and just kept repeating one sentence: “I’m just an employee, I don’t know.” If you don’t know, then find out—that’s your job! Another customer checking out managed to explain it to me more clearly than she did.
This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room only provided two bottles of water per day, and asking for even one extra bottle incurred a charge. The front desk staff just directed me to buy the $8 bottled water in the room. There were no slippers provided either. It’s clear this hotel is promoted heavily on Expedia through paid ads. Absolute garbage hotel.
