Not as family friendly as its portrayed

great stay, but really needed a microwave in the room to heat my son’s bottle, or a shared microwave in the lobby somewhere. no where online do you state that your children’s play room is only for kids 4 and up, or that it was only for drop off child care. I cam with expectations that my 2 year old would get to enjoy this area.

Spectacular Puerto Vallarta!

Love Puerto Vallarta! Quaint the contrast of forest and sea was awesome. The sunset one of a kind, the full moon was also a beautiful sight, with such clear night. The hospitality is the number one compliment, the varied food and drinks were all delicious. I can't say enough good things about PV. We did an excursion to Colimitos and it was nice, but the timing for snorkeling zero, and if it happened to be the right season this particular company only allowed for 20 minutes, the rest was spectacular, and it was a great party the way back, Brandon and his team were wonderful on SEA MI AMOR. The only thing I'd recommend is to make sure children under ten are supervised at the buffet stations.

Great trip!!

I was worried about stay as I had read some of the reviews after we booked. I was pleasantly surprised and loved my entire stay. To be realistic the biggest opportunity was some of the cleanliness due to being near the beach and having sand everywhere. The staff was very accommodating and always smiling. The food was a solid 9 with the last day being a MEXICO themed night which had food that brought back a lot of my childhood memories. The entertainment that night was awesome, a 12 out of 10!! We were there with my kids and in-laws who all said they would want to return again. Down side was on the first day someone tried to sell us a “time share” that was a little pushy but did provide some great information and great entertainment suggestions that were positioned as discounts if we attended an info meeting to get these discounts. In all was a great trip!!

We were not impressed with their upselling techniques as to where they promised a suite with view of the ocean, balcony and jacuzzi. We had a view of the ocean but also of a roof accessible to staff members along side the balcony and of all the noisy pools. The jacuzzi had jets that did not function. And they falsely called it a honeymoon suite!! They refused to discount or credit us for the false advertisement and non functioning jacuzzi or find a solution to satisfy the customer. The food was average. We will not be coming back to Buenaventura!

I booked this vacation for my elderly parents like I have done numerous times in the past. My parents have stayed at this property at least 4 times. Upon check in, front desk staff refused to upgrade my parents to an orange wristband. The orange wristband would have allowed them to have access to the Sky Bar. I was told there was no record of their previous stays due to booking on Expedia and not directly with the hotel. The resort staff is otherwise very friendly and professional

We had cockroaches in our room on the first floor. They did not have a room available to move us into that night (this was on night 3 of our 7 night stay) when asked about a refund for the nights of sleeping with the roaches was not given anything other than an apology. Was even told that they may not move use since we didn’t allow them to clean our just cleaned room at 11:30 at night. We had been out on the Malecón all day and didn’t return until 11:30. Was told that since we didn’t have proof of the roach infestation they would move us. Well luckily my wife took pictures of the roaches hanging out on the wall and with our toothbrushes in the bathroom. Showed them the pics and then they were no longer worried about proof since they now had it. I think they assumed the roaches scurried away, but these guys were on vacation chilling just like us. This is our tenth or so time at this resort, won’t return due to the cockroach issue and poor customer service. Will likely be disputing some of the charges. We paid way too much money to sleep in a cockroach infested room. The staff at all of the bar and restaurants were great.
