Not a bad stay for the very economical fees. don't expect to find clean rugs or fixtures or a sparkling clean comforter or blankets, but all in all it was not bad. It is pet friendly w 10 $ extra fee.

Good choice for the reasonable price

The staff was excellent! Especially Victoria and Megan. This motel has 3 stories and I am handicapped so I was greatly relieved to see that they had an elevator! Most multi story motels do not. I was staying in Richmond because my husband had been life flighted to Chippingham Hospital. I nevere knew from day to day if I was going to need a room for the night. My husband has Alzhimers that complected his hospital stay. Some days it was ok for me to leave him and sleep at the motel other days weren't. My first night I was in a room that hadn't yet been revamped. I didn't care for that room at all. But the other rooms that had new vinyl flooring were much better and the paint color was pleasant. Yes this is an old building but progress is being made. Overall it was definitely a good choice for the cost. I wish I could have been there when the pool was open. I'd love to have gone for a swim. If I have to return to Richmond for any reason I will gladly stay here. A couple of suggestions to management 1.New curtains are desperately needed. All 3 rooms I stayed in need the curtains replaced. 2. Not all the rooms had a door chain, for security reasons this made me uncomfortable. 3.While all the rooms had an extra chair, a small dining table would have been appreciated. One room had a small glass table that would have made a great plant stand. 😊

Don't stay here!!

The hotel was way below expectation. In the picture on the website it showed that the deluxe" room, which is what we paid for, had a couch and a table and chairs. Well the closest thing we got to a table and chairs was a desk with what looked like 2 non matching trash dumpster chairs. Dirty and damaged. The desk and chairs weren't even the bad part. What did we find instead of a couch?? An inroom hot tub. And if that weren't bad enough.... A 5 foot by 5 foot mirror above the bed!!! OMG 😱 !! Thank goodness we didn't bring the grand babies!! I'd have hated to try and explain that one to the children!! I haven't rated the room yet. That was just of how the website of the hotel lied to us. The room it's self I'd say was clean. It smelled to high heavens of weed but all was neat and orderly. When we got to the lobby to check in the checking clerk walked right past me leaving the building to go next door to get food I suppose because she returned 15inutes later with a bag of snacks. Although she did leave a note propped up on the counter top that said " welcome to regency I'll be back in 5 minutes. Have a seat" now I get it. I have worked convenience store alone too. You get hungry. You do what you gotta. But 15 minutes and not a seat in the place. Long story short .. it sucked!! We paid $74 for a night. My husband said it covered our heads for the night. He said "what a dive!!" I have to return to Richmond Va many times to come. We will not stay there again!!
